Obituary for Solange Charlotte Glear

Solange Charlotte Glear, 86, died peacefully at home July 25th with her son by her side.
She was born May 15th, 1932 in Mezidon France, and the daughter of Victor and Louise Dubois.
She was the youngest of 13 siblings, which are all deceased.
Charlotte’s father died when she was 8 years old. Which is also when the German Occupation began in France. Two of her sisters died during the occupation. It was a difficult and sad time in Charlotte’s life. In 1944 the Normandy Invasion occurred, and saved the lives of many in hiding. Charlotte was then 12 years old.
In 1954, Charlotte married the love of her life, Theodore M, Glear (deceased) on Nov. 6th 1954 in Laruscade, France. Ted and Charlotte were married 53 years.
Charlotte moved to the United States in 1957, and became a United States citizen on June 14, 1961. Charlotte has always held her citizenship near and dear to her heart!
She was a hard working individual who wore many hats from caretaker to restaurant hostess to housekeeping. Charlotte’s heart was one that truly wanted to help, and many came to rely on her generous spirit. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, so you definitely knew where she stood. Charlotte’s life included: suffering, endurance, character, and hope. She will be remembered and cherished always!
She loved her church, family, and friends and would be available to them always.
Ted and Charlotte had one son, Theodore M. Glear, Jr. of Texas. Ted selflessly has been with his mom for the past three years since Charlotte was diagnosed with cancer. This gave Charlotte and Ted time to grow in their relationship and ultimately the true gift, Charlotte allowed Teddy to cook in her kitchen finding out her son knows how to cook.
Five Grandchildren: T.M., Devon, Jessica, Brock (deceased), Shontelle, and Bridget.
Three Great grandchildren: Tristin, Brandon, and Audra.
