Obituary for Naomi Hartman

Naomi Hartman, 98 of Elmo passed away Monday November 13, 2017 at McCall Manor Plus in Salina. She was born October 11, 1919, the daughter of William and Hazel (Milner) Chamblin. She was united in marriage to Johnnie L. Hartman February 27, 1940 in Eureka, Kansas. All of their married life was spent farming in the Elmo Kansas area. He preceded her in death June 9, 2006. She was a member of the New Basel United Church of Christ.
Naomi is survived by her daughter Janice Burns (Eugene) of Salina Kansas. Four Grandchildren: Jonette Penton (Jeff); Paula Marshall (Aaron); John Burns (Linda); Curtis Burns. Six great-grandchildren: Connor and Elizabeth Penton; Matthew and Caroline Marshall; Tyler Burns and Hunter Burns.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Carolyn Betts in May of 2000, loving husband Johnnie and a brother, Floyd Marion in early childhood.
Funeral Services for Naomi will be 3:00 P.M., Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the New Basel United Church of Christ (1075 1100 Ave, Abilene, Kansas 67410) with Pastor William Graves officiating. Burial will follow at the New Basel Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 P.M., until Service time at the New Basel United Church of Christ. The family of Naomi Hartman suggests memorials be given to the New Basel United Church of Christ. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Third St., Abilene, Kansas 67410.
